Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG - the demonstation of the power

Mercedes Benz S-class is sometimes told as a symbol of luxurious limousines. A combination of first class comfort, enough power under the elegant design has many fans. Where maximalist approach is wasting of money, in this class it‘s necessity. But it’s not because of its top position in Mercedes’ range, but it’s a member of family that doesn’t allow any compromise like its competition or demanding customers.

The top of the class was very challenging for constructers of Mercedes AMG, a traditional producer of perfect vehicles. But they took the challenge responsibly and now they can proudly present the most powerful stock saloon in the world.

Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG had its premiere at NAIAS 2006 motor show in Detroit (8th – 22nd of January 2006). The capital city of American automotive industry was a witness of demonstration of the German manufacturer for which is this market primary.

„Demonstration of the power“ – there’re no other words to name the possibility to manufacture a car that’s potential to abash producers of sport cars meanwhile it can please you with the highest comfort in the class. The highest credit of AMG vehicles is especially based on top aggregates.

Every 12-cylinder engine of S65 is handmade and installed in accordance to AMG’s philosophy of „one man-one engine. “ That means every engine is a work of one of few technicians leaving his signature on the engine.


The AMG engineers valuated their long tradition of presence in top racing competitions. A precious balanced crankshaft is made of ultra-tough materials; forged pistons are extremely resistant against pressure and heat. Every piston is also cooled by individual oil jet. Temperature of oil is maintained by a powerful oil cooler that is suitable also for extreme conditions. A cooler of pressured air is about 70% bigger than in S 600 and also turbochargers parts are bigger. They’re producing 1.5 bars of pressure. A reworked fuel system works with variable pressure in range of 3.6 – 5 bars. The V12 biturbo engine has 5980cu.cm and 450kw (612hp) between 4750-5100rpm. It has a breath-taking torque of 1000Nm available between 2000-4000rpm! But not only is the value of torque excellent. It’s very linear and a lot of torque is available practically from idling revs – 570Nm at 1000rpm and 750Nm at 15000rpm!

This big portion of power and torque needs to be safely transferred to the wheels do the engineers developed new clutch discs made of high quality metal and also its drive shaft is completely redesigned. Five-speed automatic transmission AMG SPEEDSHIFT allows you to shift directly under the steering-wheel (F1 style). The shift knob with traditional PRND modes is now situated on the steering-column as a lever. Its former place is now used as a controller of transmission and suspension styles – Sport, Comfort and Manual.

Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG Dynamic potential of S65 AMG needs no compromise in case of braking system. Innovative double brake calipers combine advantages of flowing construction – lower heat stress and cultivated work with performance of massive calipers.

Composite brake discs has 390 and 365mm and their ventilated technology is beautiful behind 5-spoke 19“ AMG alloy wheels. Optimal contact with roads is provided thanks to tires with these dimensions: 255/40 ZR 19 in front and 275/40 ZR 19 at the back.

Aerodynamic modifications of bodykit and four exhaust tips reveal that you’re looking at the top model of the class, but individual character is noticeable in the interior. After door opening the AMG logo appears and covers the speedometer of 360kmph.

Sportsmen enjoy special gauges such as oil temperature, voltmeter and special gadget called Racetimer. This function process time spent on the circuit – fastest lap, average or top speed, remaining distance etc. Racetimer can bea easily accessed with buttons on the ergonomic sporting-wheel.

Tuning the Ford Mustang ECU

You've got a late model Ford Mustang, and you really want to fine tune its performance, but doing a physical engine modification is a bit beyond you. What do you do? You start by tuning the ECU - the electronic control unit - but to do this, you need either a chip or a tuner. How do you choose? Each type of programming device has merits; each has flaws. Here's a brief rundown of some of the major options:Ford Mustang Chip
Using a chip, such as the 4-Bank SCT Eliminator Chip, can be the most straightforward choice, because a chip plugs directly into the J3 port on the ECU that came with your car.

Pros:
  • Retains your stock tune, but also holds settings for four custom tunes
  • Has a switch that allows for instant tune changing (say, if you're about to be in a drag race).
  • Can be fitted with a bezel so it will mesh with the look of your car.


Cons

Has to be removed from car and returned to manufacturer in order to add or edit installed tunes.



Tuners:


Ford Mustang Tuner
Unlike chips, these are handheld devices that overwrite, or "flash," the existing tuning settings in the computer of your Ford Mustang , much like flashing the firmware on an mp3 player or PC. These tuners are plugged into the OBD II port, which is found on the driver's side of the car, beneath the dash. They come in two basic types, "strategy" and "custom."


Custom Tuners Custom tuners like the Livewire, X-Calibrator 2, and X3 Powerflash allow a certified programmer to adjust as many as 3,000 different variables (depending, of course, on the specific model and year of your Mustang), each of which is created specifically for your car. Each tune will take into account any previous modifications you have done, so even highly modified used and new cars, even those that have been turbo-charged, can be custom tuned to your desired specifications.

Custom tuners include the ability to make end-user adjustments to things like gear ratio and Air/Fuel ratios, and can also be adjusted very precisely to accommodate specific weather or road conditions.

For your safety, most custom tuners retain your original settings (downloaded the first time you plug it in), for later reversion. They also lock to the VIN number on your car, so no one else can use them.

The downside of custom tuners is that they only hold three tuning profiles, and they have to be programmed by licensed SCT programmers. As well, if your Mustang is turbo- or super-charged, you need to find an SCT programmer with a dynamometer.


Strategy Tuners Strategy Tuners, on the other hand, contain a selection of popular stock tuning profiles, for Mustang drivers who need control, but not custom settings. They have fewer end-user settings that can be adjusted, but if you have experience with Mustang tuning you can still accommodate settings for your bolted-on modifications. They also allow some adjustment for weather, road, and fuel injection changes.

The cons of selecting this kind of tuner include the fact that you really need to know what you're doing before you make changes. However, they can be moved from car to car - so if you bought a tuner for one car, and have since purchased a new one, as long as the first car was flashed back to it's original tuning, you can re-tune your tuner for the new Mustang in your possession.

Sources like AmericanMuscleCar.com also offer hybrid tuners that merge some of the features of both custom and strategy tuners, and can be easier for beginners to use. Selecting a tuner, or choosing chips over a tuner, is only just one step toward a truly customized Mustang. Still, by starting with the computer, you can get a taste of customization both quickly and cleanly.

2008 Dodge Challenger exposed

The original Dodge Challenger was a late introduction to the United States pony car market, and was first launched in the 1970 model year, as a direct competitor of the Mercury Cougar, and derived from the Plymouth Barracuda, though it was two inches longer and had completely different lines. Following the recent trend of retro-muscle cars being re-imagined, the 2008 Dodge Challenger, which will be released later this year, joins Ford's redesigned Mustang and Chevy's upcoming 2009 Camaro as a modern muscle car.


The concept form of the 2008 Challenger debuted at the 2006 Detroit Auto Show, and since then it's earned a fair share of buzz both online and in print media, garnering more than a few magazine covers along the way. Dodge is clearly hoping that this Challenger will give its performance image a boost.

Based on the same platform also being used for the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger Sedan, a modified version of the Chrysler Group's LX platform, the initial Challengers will be offered with rear-wheel drive, and only one choice of engine: a 6.1 liter Hemi V-8 that pushes out 425 horsepower in cars where it's already in sue, like the Charger, Magnum, and 300. While Dodge is clearly intending this to be a limited edition vehicle, critics worry that limiting production to one engine design may hurt sales, especially since the competing Ford Mustang and planned Chevy Camaros both offer V-6 options.

While there is only one engine, purchasers of the 2008 Dodge Challenger will have the option of either a six-speed manual transmission, or a five-speed automatic, which will combine with the 6.1 liter engine and comparatively low curb weight to allow acceleration from zero to 60 mph in under 5 seconds. As well, it's got fat tires supporting it's modern suspension system, antilock brakes and an aggressive anti-skid system.



Cosmetically, the 2008 Challenger stays true to the original car from the '70's, with a nose and tail taken directly from the older car, and sides that are reminiscent of the Barracuda from the same year. As well, this vehicle is a true hardtop - there are no central roof pillars - and Dodge doesn't seem to be planning a convertible version.

2008 Dodge challenger Inside the car, which comfortably seats four people, the black upholstery is a lean contrast to the bright orange exterior, though it is accented with silver, as well as narrow bands of orange on the seat backs. Principal interior designer Alan Barrington even cites the 1970 model as a source of inspiration, telling reporters last summer that, "…we wanted to capture the memory of that car, but expressed in more contemporary surfaces, materials and textures." What they wound up with is an instrument panel that sits high in the car and is intersected by a cluster of three circular gauges, and a fourth, larger gauge (really a computer display) that allow the driver to monitor overall speed, quarter-mile speed and time, and the top speed for each gear.

Those in the know say that the production vehicle of the 2008 Dodge Challenger looks exactly like the concept car, inside and out. Dodge's website has a link to information about the auction of the very first Challenger, but the rest of us will have to purchase one. The starting MSRP, at your local new car dealer, ranges from $37,320 to $40,095.

Weineck Cobra 780 cui Limited Edition – a modern devil in classic body!

Today’s world is overcrowded with new trends, gadgets and modern stuff. Maybe in the near future we’ll have mobile phones installed in our hands or credit cards in thumbs. So this is also the case of automotive industry where technology rules. It’s not bad, but sometimes we forget about classics. The classic on four wheels reigned many years ago and beat speed limits. There were cars with highest performance and look great also today.

Let’s take some examples as ´69 Dodge Charger RT or Shelby Cobra CSX 4000. These famous names remain in our heads and hearts. But there are people that don’t want only to remember those times but resurrect this golden age. We’re talking about the guys from Weineck Engineering that started to rebuild the most famous classic roadster – Cobra. So come on, take a look at the result, but some history first.

History of Shelby Cobra

Everything started in 1923 in American town Leesburg in Texas, when a boy called Carroll Shelby was born. In that time nobody had idea that this little baby would be a part of automotive history and his name would be held by the most famous roadsters.

Carroll was an ordinary guy; he was studying, fighting in a war and then working at farm. But after few years he left farming and became a racer.

He was racing with passion and it was noticeable that he loved cars really much. In 1954 he became a professional racer after success competitions. He became widely popular and during the years 1956 and 1957 he was honored as the Sports Car Driver of the Year by famous Sports Illustrated.

He always had dream to build its own car. He was always drawing and trying to create his own design. He also realized its name – Cobra. And then it happened. His first own built car was also famous as CSX2000 or Cobra. It was born with a V8 engine made by Ford. This was just the beginning – next cars were 427 S/C Cobra, Cobra 289, Shelby GT 350SR, GT 500E „Eleanor”...

STOCK COBRA


The core is ´65 Shelby Cobra 427, the best roadster in those times and roads. It attracted people not only with unique design, but also with its performance. And those numbers were enormous. The car was powered by Ford’s 7.0 liter V8 power plant producing stock 425hp (362kW) at 6500rpm. It was controlled with a 4-speed manual transmissions and its top speed was 266kmph. But more impressive value is its acceleration. It can easily beat 100kmph in just 4.2 seconds. Unbelievable, the power of the 60’s. This cars was and is still beast with „mojo.“

Multimedia Hummer H2 Magnat Showcar!

Hummer H2, a successor of H1 model (especially used by the US army force) is more limousine than off-road king. Maybe this is a reason why so many tuning companies would like to modify this car, often with very good results. This is also the case of Magnat that as you can see had a great time during its modification. Hummer H2 Magnat Showcar is a unique result of Magnat’s hard work.

A 6 liter V8 OHV SMPI engine with 16 valves produces 232kW (316hp). Acceleration to 100kmph takes about 10 seconds and its top speed is slightly more than 150kpmh. A 4-speed automatic transmission shifts gears for you. Of course the vehicle has a four-wheel drive system.

Madness with products by Magnat and Audiovox:

The most visible exterior’s change is its paint. The whole car is covered with airbrush. It costs 14,000 Euros to spray 7-layer lack and airbrush motives. Majority of parts are made of chrome, for example:

  • chromed front grill (plastics)
  • inlet

  • doorknobs
  • rearview mirrors
Sporting design is provided with KMC 22“ 16-spoke chromed alloy wheels. Its sporting suspension is decreased for 11 centimeters to secure stability on the roads. Under the car we can find neon bulbs that aren’t often used in case of off-roads, but they look great under this car.

Let’s move to the interior where we can find more surprises. When we opened doors we noticed many speakers and LCD monitors. But we’ll talk about them later.

Also the interior was painted with the 7-layer paint. Seats have now leather upholstery for 5,000 euros. Gauges have white illumination and chromed hems.

Cobra Technologie & Lifestyle tuning of Nissan 350Z


Nissan 350Z is like a magnet for tuning companies. No doubt that this car is very popular, it offers great sporting value forms your money. And Cobra Technologie & Lifestyle knows this too. The company is known especially for stainless protection bars for off-roads. But it’s also a new member of tuning scene, or styling respectively. So now you understand why Nissan 350Z shouldn’t be left alone.

So we can start with aluminum mirror covers, and then move trough the front spoiler improving aerodynamics and grill in it from buffed steel. Rims are quite different from stock ones. There’re more available, from 18“ to 20“ and they’re combined with a sporting suspension with shorter springs. We strongly recommend COBRA N+ CN6 rims with these dimensions – 8.5x20 (245/30ZR 20 tires) in front and 9.5Jx20 (275/30 ZR 20) at the back. The wheels fill the space perfectly. There are various types of suspension to choose, from 30mm decrease to adjustable height and rigidity.

Audi TT Bimoto by MTM!

So today we have something hot (but older), again for you, again from the Germans. Those of you that have been satisfied with tuning cars with about 300 horses under the hood, read carefully, because this report talks about one German predator melting asphalt on the road. The result of hard work in a little town of Werrstetten maybe needs a gun license. Why? Because the Bavarian tuner MTM created a beast with 840hp! Because of two engines and 371kmph top speed!!!

It’s a classic car that everybody knows – Audi TT. It also looks very similar from the exterior. Yes it have some spoilers on both ends, decent side intakes, three exhaust tips, interesting openings for air in a rear window and smooth bottom of the chassis. But that’s all.

But after that...the driver turn the key in the ignition, two controller’s light glows – Engine 1 and Engine 2...what the hell?! Where? And after this starting process like in an airplane, shift first speed, release the clutch and the hell begins! 1000Nm of torque are available and you feel them during the acceleration over 200kmph. We don’t need to measure 0-100kmph sprint. No sense in this. Nothing interesting. But for example values such as 0-200kmph in 6.3 seconds and 0-300kmph in 19.8 seconds sound much better! Pass nearby formula in 340kmph and track in 370kmph seems like thin line.

Its suspension had to be heavily modified, but MTM don’t want to reveal details. Grip is provided by high-performance Pirelli tires on 19“ MTM rims. This power has to be controlled do the MTM guys installed complete and specially modified BREMBO brake system. The whole car passed few diets so its weight is no more than 1490kg. And this means that there’s one horse per 1,77 kilogram. What’s your ratio? The MTM’s Bimoto is powered by two 1.8 liter turbocharged engines, one in front and second in a trunk. Both stock turbines were replaced with bigger one KKK, 3Kwarner respectively. The turbines produce 1.8 bars of pressure, but MTM again doesn’t want to release closer info. But it’s clear that they increased their power for 100%.

If you see this car in your rearview mirror, drive away! No need for any distance lights, blinker or similar signals. But who will buy this? Nobody. It’s a unique machine, only one of its breed. „And it won’t be for sale. Never.“ These are words of Mr. Mayer, an owner of MTM. „We’ve just wanted an extreme machine and we’re successful with 840hp.“ And we can prove that they did a great job. Yes, it’s not for sale, but who would buy it when its estimated price is more than 500.000 euros

The company produces especially visual parts so we can find many bumpers, spoilers, wings, lamps and much more in their portfolio. All products are made of finest materials. The Mercedes CLS is based on a study „Vision CLS“ presented in Frankfurt 2003. One year later the sporting four-door coupe was born. It has a massive body (4913x1841x1390) and front headlamps enhance its sporting image. Tail lamps include LED technology. There are three engines available for this model:

- Mercedes CLS 350 (3.5 L):
  • output: 200 kW at 6000rpm
  • torque: 350 Nm at 2400rpm
  • acceleration 0-100kmph: 7 s, top speed: 250 kmph

If you had luck and you visited Frankfurt’s motor show, you couldn’t miss this luxurious tuning beauty. Maybe the most changed part is its front part. There’s a new spoiler on the bumper with same position of openings as the stock bumper to cool down brakes and engine. Side sills continue in lines of aerodynamic bodykit. The rear bumper is adapted to the lines of the rear part. In central part of the bumper we can find a diffuser with Duplex exhaust system terminated with four angular exhaust tips.

The tuners take safety seriously so now there are two new openings (covered with a black perforated sheet) for hot air off take from disc brakes. You can notice also very stylish chromed external mirrors. Chromed can be found on 20“ 8-spoke ASMA rims (10 x 20 in front and 11,5 x 20 at the back) booted into the stylish sporting tires with those dimensions: 255/30 ZR 20 in front and 295/25 ZR 20 at the back of the car. Adjustable suspension can change ground clearance in 35-50mm range. We can say that this modification isn’t finished yet, because ASMA is still developing products for this mode.

Citroen C2 Tuning in multimedia rage by SQ PLUS!

CITROEN C2:


This vehicle is especially suitable for ladies. The C2 is a smaller sister of bigger and popular C3. But it has sharper shapes, so it looks stylish and sporting. We can choose from four engines – 1.1i (44kW@5000rpm), 1.4i (54kW@5400rpm), 1.6i Sensodrive (80kW@5750rpm) and one diesel 1.4HDi (50kW@4000rpm). The strongest version can accelerate to 100kmph in 10.9 seconds and „fly“ at 195kmph. It’s not very good choice for family, because 166 liters of trunk. So you need to fold rear seats (increase to 224 liters) and leave your mother-in-law at home?. Of course this car has ESP, ASR and ABS systems that provide great safety also with tough chassis. We can say that the C2 is tuned also in the stock (leather steering-wheel, chromed pedals, shift knob and exhaust tip), but the job did by SQ Plus transformed this tiny compact to something unbelievable.

CITROEN C2 TUNING


Citroen C2 Tuning
As we said before, Citroen bet on experience of British SQ Plus that built Alien Citroen C2 in 6 months. You notice special paintworks at first sight. The silver paintwork with airbrush by Darren Horton cost 15.000 pounds. The front bumper is stock; there’s a place for license plate in the center and Powerflow rounded exhaust tip on its sides.

In the lower part you can see exhaust mufflers between fog lamps. The rear bumper and side sills match with the rest of alien style. Xenon headlamps will illuminate every monster in its sight (a mother-in-law too). There are no mirrors and doorknobs – usual tuning move. Stock 16“ rims were replaced with 20“ Toyo rims with low-profile tires and Mr. Chilli’s pneumatic suspension decreasing the Alien’s height.

The wheels replacement caused that fenders needed to be extremely extended. There’s a new wing on the rear window, so the car is now visually longer. Almost whole interior is covered with laminated parts so now it looks like a spaceship. Replacement of transmission allowed removing a central console behind the knob. Its seating capacity was decreased to driver only so the audio tunnel is now bigger.

The tunnel includes three powerful amplifiers and four Alpine subwoofers and behind the front seat you can discover a canister full of N20 gas. The interior is full of powerful speakers; some of them are placed also in the seats too. The dashboard includes five large LCDs that show what’s behind the car and also parameters of audio. And don’t forget that whole car is illuminated with blue neon tubes.

Hummer H3 Tuning by Geiger


Geiger Tuning surprised us with its off-road creations for many times. The experienced tuner clothed this Hummer with style, but without any emotion. But slowly. Also the decision to create the smaller H3 model depending on your wallet was surprising (hope that Hummer don’t think about some „Smart-like“ version). Geiger boosted attractively this model with additional horsepower. The 3.5 litre engine with compressor can produce 325hp (224hp in stock version) and 435 Nm of torque. This robust off-roadie can accelerate from zero to 100kmph in 8.4 seconds and has top speed of 210kmph.

This isn’t the newest product from Geiger’s workshops, but it’s worth of your attention. There’s a new sporting exhaust with catalyzer. The car is for 10cm closer to the road and it has improved stability. Braking power is provided with 355mm brake discs with 6-piston brake calipers. Hummer H3 stands on 9.5x20 light alloy wheels. The complete set with 265/60 tires and rims is available for 3.816 euros. The front chromed mask costs 1.560 euros and chromed side bars for 890 euros. In the interior we can find a new satellite navigation and leather parts.

Trabant 601 Xtreme Tuning


So today we have another Trabant tuning from Germany. I can’t predict if in the future we’ll drive a successor of this retro, like Beatle or Mini have. But for its fans, Trabant is still alive and this can be proved by this masterpiece from Germany. The first idea of its owner was racing so it got done a perfect engine with bigger volume of 900cu.cm. The engine has special modification of heads of cylinders, crank and pistons. Thanks to racing sparking plugs NGK and buffed carburetor by FZ, this engine produces 60hp. It doesn’t seem too much, but Trabant can reach 185kmph!

Everyone who drove or sat as a passenger in Trabant knows that the ride with this beast is something specific and it doesn’t need any additional comment. But meanwhile the owner realized that racing car needed more and more Money so he decided to rebuild its machine to a fancy show car to make some parade on the move. Its chassis was modified heavily – its pillars are shorter about 70mm (top chopping). Windows and fenders are made individually. Front clear headlamps came from VW Golf and rearview mirrors from motorbike. The killing performance needs a bunch of safety so the car has a roll cage, Jamex leather sporting seats and 30cm wide Raid steering-wheel. Koni is a producer of shock-absorbers allowing quite big deflection of wheels so thanks to this the car looks like a duck but handling is far better. ATS alloy rims has 13“ and in front they have 7“ of width and actually 8“ at the back. They wear 175/50 R13 tires.

The owner of this Trabi – Thomas hasn’t tried to obtain a permission to drive this little one on the ordinary roads by TÜV (Technischer Ü berwachungs-Verein) yet, but he’s going to do it in the near future. So, good luck!

Hamann‘s super-monster – BMW 6 Coupe!

The classics. A BMW car tuned by Hamann. You notice its beautiful design and elegant black paintwork. Designers played with smooth details and glamorous shapes of the predator. There’s a bunch of power inside of its heart – really nice 412hp. An original volume is 4.5 litres, but this offers excellent 5.2 litres of pure power.

So the guys needed to remove the original engine, modify, tune and place back under the hood. 412 horses under the hood is quite good value, don’t you think? Also its torque is monumental – 550Nm at 3900rpm (!). It’s very impressive also compared to the stock M6 with 520Nm at 8000rpm but with 507hp. So now your sound impression should be more pleasant?.

Maybe you think that this performance boost is possible only thanks to the volume extension. Of course not. There’s a new air filter, sporting cam, shaft, sporting pistons, ECU and exhaust system. But not only engine makes a car, so let’s take a look at the suspension. So what happened here? The ride is now lower – for 40 mm in front and 20 mm at the back. Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 – more than perfect!

Also the last year in Geneva was a year of many new stock vehicles. Of course this occasion isn’t about stock vehicles, but also about concepts or modifications. The Italian manufacturer with a bull in its badge – Lamborghini, introduced their new Lamborghini Murcielago LP640.

This model is a pioneer in the history of Lamborghini and fascinating evolve of Murcielago model. It’s a super sport suitable for the ordinary roads. The number 640 means 640hp under the hood. But the change wasn’t made only under the hood, but also in its design.

An ordinary model has amazing 580 horses under the hood, and now this beast. Major changes were made on the engine – extending its volume form 6.2 litres to 6.5 litres, so the torque is now 660Nm at 6000rpm.

Other changes were also necessary – modified engine intake, heads of cylinders, exhaust system and electronic transmission with a Thrust system. This gadget secures the best available traction and acceleration in all possible conditions. Similar system is used in Porsche’s 911 GT3 that was also introduced in Geneva.

The new Murcielago beats 100kmph in 3.4 seconds, what is 0.4 seconds better then the ordinary one. Feel dizzy? So the top speed is 338kmph. The LP640 has ceramic brakes with 380mm discs. All-wheel drive in 30:70 ratio is obvious and wheels wear Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires (245/35 R18 in front and 335/30 R18 at the back).

Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 And what about the design? Lamborghini’s designers used their verified process that guarantees an exclusive design, but also high level of functionality. We can’t have only pretty gauges, but also we want to know what they show.

The new aggressive design of this road devil shows modified side sills and front bumper with aggressive lines like a white shark.

We’re used to see Lambos with sharp fronts with great aerodynamics. Its exhaust system is finished with a really big hexagonal exhaust tip in the middle of the rear diffuser. Maybe it’s a brave design, but very fancy too. Tail lamps are red with semi-transparent glass. Thanks to the glass they look like brilliants and that’s really beautiful. There great inlets behind the rear wheels with design matching to the exhaust tip.

But the most amazing thing on this car is its wheels. Black color with matt accent, big dimension and the design can’t be seen anywhere else. 5 groups in two spokes where one crosses another. I must say that there are no prettier wheels for this

But what happens when an engineer with PhD title from Stanford wants to make some improvements? A revolution in tuning. We present you a breath-taking VW Beetle Jet Powered.

Yes, you’re right – jet means jet engine. So our engineers installed a jet engine from a helicopter to this three-door car without removing its original engine.

As he said, he wanted to build a jet powered car suitable for traffic. He removed rear seats and installed a General Electric Model T58-8F jet engine producing 1.350hp at 26.000rpm.

Of course this engine is so big that the car is now about 150cm longer. So the car has now a big opening for jet. But you need also count with next 2-3 meters for flames?

It’s not possible to turn on the jet whenever you want. You can turn it on only when you’re moving, because the engine is so powerful that it should fly away from through the front window the stopped car.

But the creator confesses that he didn’t build this car for suicide but for fun. But he’s ready to lend the car to brave volunteers.

The Street-Legal Jet powered VW Beetle was built to be used in everyday traffic, but with the highest possible performance not allowed in the streets.

Audi A5 Tuning by Abt

A long-awaited model Audi A5 is just few week on the market and finally it helps the Ingolstadt manufacturer to compete Mercedes CLK Coupe or BMW 6.

The new Audi A5 is a car sometimes called as a „businessman’s express“ and needs to conquer its competition of premium and image segment not only with great design by VW’s chief designer Walter de Silva, but also thanks to driving capabilities.

As we‘d predicted, a tuning company Abt Sporstsline (traditional tuner of VW group’s vehicles) decided to change this model. Guys from German Kempten are known especially for engine doping and developing of sporting suspensions thanks to their long-lasting experience from motor sport they actively participate in.

But in the case of Audi A5 they also tried to modify not only technical part, but also its design and that’s not really an easy task to do as they said.

Changing style of the amazing car as our A5 really is, is like to change the orthography of reputable Walter de Silva.

You need to be brave and 100% sure that the result will be success. Abt Sportsline knew it so they intelligently avoided doing any unnecessary modifications.

They focused and retouch only details to enhance the car’s sporting accent and they did a great job as we can see on attached photos.

Actually we can say, that this modified model has more visual dynamics than the top stock model Audi S5 which was introduced together with its civil brother Audi A5.

The sporting image is especially noticeable in case of reworked bottom parts of integrated front bumper that is now more symmetrical with three modified inlets and horizontal dividing bars. All of three bottom air suction openings has internal grill with same structure and color and so it looks it’s made of one piece of grill covering whole lower side.

The front spoiler is finished with nice contour that’s more vivid just before the front wheels and it continues to decent side sills with elegant edge copying the stock shape of bodywork.

Its dynamical profile involves also rounded gill heat outlets integrated into the front fenders. Other visual parts are made in same way also at the back. The edge of trunk is enhanced with a nice moldings appearing from original line to the line of outer edges of tail lamps.

Space between double exhaust tips is filled with a plastic panel imitating an aerodynamic diffuser to improve sporting design of this elegant coupe. All external visual accessories are connected with an intelligent color scheme dividing the surface on separate zones. The zone defines the color of accessories to match or contrast with the color of main zone.

Program of engine modification haven’t been finished yet, but the tuners declares that 176kW (240hp) 3.0 TDI engine will have very nice 200kW (272kW). If they use more powerful turbocharger, they can offer even 300hp. Safety is the most important so the Audi A5 will have own braking system with 380mm brake discs. They look great under 5-spoke alloy rims of AR design range and they’re available in diameter 18“-20“. The range of modifications can’t be complete without an adjustable sporting suspension that makes the car perfect on the road or the track.

The Belgian company Caractere specialized in tuning of German brands, takes a beautiful convertible by Volkswagen called VW Eos. Eos comes from Greek mythology. Eos was a goddess of dawn that every morning left the sea and brought sunshine to her people. Also Volkswagen Eos brings the sunshine that white-out whole interior.

Also the stock version of VW Eos has nice sporting shapes, but still retiring and elegant. No doubt that this model is great, because also it has strong competitors – Peugeot 307CC, Renault Megane CC, Opel Astra TwinTop or Ford Focus CC.

VW Eos offers a nice range of engines, form 1.6 FSi with 85kW at 6000rpm to 3.6 litre V6 producing 184kW at 6400rpm. Wit this powerful engine it can reach 100kmph in 7.3 seconds and 247kmph. If you prefer fuel economy, you can choose less powerful 2.0 TDI turbocharged diesel aggregate producing 103kW.

So as we mentioned before, the design of Volkswagen’s Eos is excellent. But there are some people that want more – more individuality for someone who isn’t satisfied with stock design.

There’s no bodykit without nice side sills connecting both spoiler’s lines of a car. Like both spoilers, also in this case, the side sills are decent and underline Eos’s sporting accent.

Middle and higher class among cars is characterized with more delegates. It’s especially BMW, Mercedes and Audi of course. We’ll talk today about the last mentioned brand. Maybe everyone from this planet knows the cars made by this brand. These vehicles have nice design, enough performance and comfortable interior. But they’re also known for their great luxury and maximum commitment to their owners. So when we have some attributes together, as a powerful engine, attractive design and luxurious interior, it can be only one thing – Audi A4 B6. It’s not enough; we add the name Hofele Design – because Audi together with Hofele make stylish cars attracting all bystanders.

Hofele Design is known for its simple, but distinctive modifications. Now look at their second generation Audi A4.

The first step of the modification was made in front, where big front bumper dominates. It’s characteristic with three big openings to cool engine area. There is a pair of additional lights and stylish diffuser in the middle of the bumper. The central cutout perfectly matches with the curves of the front mask, now replaced with a new, sporting Hofele product. Final words of the front part are side spoilers and pair of gills near the front wheels. There’s anew product in Audi’s styling program – it’s a front hood called Powerdome. It has a oval part in its centre. Definitely, the Audi’s front part now looks excellent and Hofele guys did a great job once again.

Side sills are retiring to gently fit to the smooth lines of the side part. Again we can prove that simple solutions can be best. The rear part is tuned too. There’s a retiring sporting molding on the trunk. The rear bumper has now a new sporting diffuser with elongated opening in its center. Sharp and sporty sound is provided by a pair of oval exhaust tips.

Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren perfectly connects the heritage of legendary racing cars SLR from the 50’s with up-to-date technology of modern racing monoposts of McLaren-Mercedes.

Four years after the introduction of one of the today’s most powerful cars, Mercedes scores once again. The killer of Ferrari and Porsche as this car is often called has now a stylish removable roof and Roadster surname.

The coupe was also one of the pioneers in application of sporting technology into our streets. Its developers used a lot of carbon fibers that are heavily used in racing because of their incredible durability and low weight.

This carbon fiber technology was in case of the new roadster used even more, especially in construction of monocock’s chassis that is now extremely agile and durable against torsion forces even if the car hasn’t a solid roof. It provides nice safety thanks to its surprisingly high absorption ability.

Uniqueness of the roadster is hidden in the roof of course. In this case we can find a sophisticated system that can elegantly „uninstall“ the roof and hide it under cover panels without any negative effect on beautiful lines of the car.

This semi-automatic system requires only manual release from the front window. The rest is all automatic and electro-hydraulic mechanism needs only 10 seconds. Safety deficit of open body is compensated with steel-reinforced A-pillars and two fixed roll-over bars behind the seats.

The SLR Roadster has a brand-new roof material that protects its passengers against bad weather, but it’s also very flexible and aerodynamic stabile. The owner can enjoy its high output aggregate without any compromises also in case of the top speed 332kmph what’s comparable with the coupe version.

This all is a result of many hours spent in a wind tunnel, where designers found the best mix of design, safety and usefulness. Now you can enjoy ride without any acoustic or performance distractions.

Heart of the roaster is same as we can find in the coupe. It’s a supercharged V8 engine behind the front axle with 5.5 litres of volume. The engine produces 460kW (626hp) at 6500rpm. Massive 780Nm of torque is available just at 3250rpm and remains practically unchanged till 5000rpm. With three valves per cylinder and 5-speed AMG automatic transmission Speedshift R it needs only 3.8 seconds to beat 100kmph.

The new Mercedes-Benz SLR Roadster is like its older brother produced in McLaren’s factory in English Woking where they built also F1 monoposts. This model is available in exclusive distribution chain since September 2007.

BMW M3 Tuning by Lumma Tuning

Previous generation of the best, most powerful and sportiest of BMW 3-class called M is for us the most beautiful BMW.

It has a 3.2 inline 6-cylinder engine producing 343hp (252kW) connected with 6-speed SMG transmission.

M3 lost some weight (about 150kgs) in 2002, particularly thanks to many carbon composite parts.

Also they took a look at the heart and they pumped beautiful 360hp (265kW). Also the CSL was fine adjusted in Nurburgring and its famous circuit.

Lumma Tuning is known especially for its interesting, but not so much extravagant bodykits, but in this case it made an exception and prepared a really wide body.

But let’s start from the beginning. The front bumper is bigger and has more shaped lines so it’s similar to the newest 5-th generation E90.

BMW M3 Tuning
You can’t miss massive extended fenders when you look from all sides. They have GTR style and look great on the M. Besides, they have „hot air from brakes“ off-take openings on their back. So when we have the extended fenders, there are also extended side sills to create smooth and clean design.

Also the rear bumper failed to resist the Lumma guys. Now it has bigger to match better with the extended side lines. Also there we can find openings for hot air off-take and diffuser with two chromed exhaust tips with 80 mm in diameter each.

Wheels do the car. This is a crucial rule of all modifications and Lumma knows it. So the tuned M3 rolls on light alloys rims (9.5x20“ in front and 12.5x20“ at the back) wearing 255/30 R20 and 305/20 R20 tires respectively.

So all these parts are made of high quality materials and also certified to meet requirements of European market. But it’s pity that these parts are available only for M3 models as coupe or convertible. I think that all models of last generation deserve these beauties.

Fiat Grande Punto Novitec X-One Tuning

The last project of Novitec had been Ferrari. But then it looked at a class of compact vehicles and created X-One modification for Fiat Grande Punto. The bigger brother of the new Fiat 500 has now aggressive look attracting especially younger tuners loving extreme modifications.

When you love gentle lines, you won’t like this Novitec‘s piece. The car lost its face thanks to chosen spoilers and eyebrows.

But it looks more aggressive and with help of white color it can fear the owners of more expensive and faster cars. Novitec X-One Fiat Grande Punto includes also a new adjustable suspension to allow lowering the ride for 75 mm.

The bodykit involves the front and rear spoiler, side sills and eyebrows. 18“ black alloy rims nicely match with rest of the body. Engine‘s improvements are simple. The 1.9 diesel 4-cylinder engine can produce 160 hp after an ordinary chip-tuning, so it has 40hp+.

MINI John Cooper Works CHALLENGE Tuning

Fans of British automotive legend Mini are used to see special limited editions of cute cars that regularly refresh the range.

The exclusive and sporting versions are traditionally called John Cooper Works and the newest masterpiece introduced in Frankfurt bears the badge saying Challenge.

This means that this fresh new Mini was developed for use in hard racing conditions, especially in the Mini Challenge Racing series.

Mini John Cooper Works Challenge won’t be even approved for use on the roads, its existence is primarily and only for racing.

This car is based on the most powerful civic version of Mini Cooper S, but its 1.6 4-cylinder engine is dramatically rebuilt to achieve great output and better curve of torque.

210hp is produced by the engine with a modified turbocharger, pistons, suction system with sporting filter, improved exhaust system with sporting catalyzer and of course with a remapped ECU. Value of torque can be temporary even 260Nm thanks to the engine’s over-boost function. But not only was the great performance the goal. You need also some nice traction to use this power.

The main source of the necessary traction is a adjustable roof spoiler with aerodynamic diffuser including a double exhaust tip.

The suspension has also crucial function in here, so the stock one was completely replaced with a sporting kit by KW Automotive with fully adjustable elements.

High performance sporting brakes with four-piston brake calipers stop the light Mini from 100kmph just in 3.1 seconds. The exterior bodykit of Challenge is made by John Cooper Works and 17“ Borbet alloy rims are really fancy.

Despite of the racing nature of our Mini John Cooper Works Challenge, the car is not available only for racing teams but also for private enthusiasts for 49.900 Euros VAT included.

ABT Sportsline Audi TT Roadster Tuning


This year’s summer is gone, but somewhere is still sunny to open roofs on convertibles. The newest Audi TT Roadster has been chosen by the German company ABT to push its limits to the max.

Maybe ABT guys missed more dynamics in case of its stock version; this modification is focused to improve this feature. They’ve started with a front bumper optically decreasing the ride closer to the ground thanks to its new lip and modified cut-outs and fog lamps. The front part ends with a modified front mask with added Abt badge.

Then the modification continues in side sills with enough aggression and dynamics. The front bumper comes from the original, but Abt added a functional diffuser with duplex chromed exhasut tips. There’s also a wing that is not only fancy, but fully working.

After all improvements, the Abt guys used a lot of white color. Maybe for somebody it looks ordinary, but matches amazingly. It‘s great to see this combination of white exterior and black mask and interior.
Of curse they didn’t forget about wheels. There are two models from Abt offer – AR 19 or AR 20 alloy wheels. Surprisingly, they have 19“ or 20“ respectively.

If you want, Abt can do some tuning to your engine. There are many options to increase output, no matter if it’s a basic 2.0 TFS V4 or sharp 3.2 FSI V6 aggregate. If we’re talking about the 2-liter engine, they can change standard 147kW (200hp) to 177kw (240hp) or even 221kW (300hp) and if it’s the 3.2 FSI, you can enjoy 262kW (355hp) of pure adrenaline. This performance allows Audi to reach 100kmph in five seconds. So Abt has changed brake discs to 380x34mm.

And that’s all folks. Abt have created a dynamic car offering great design and decent power.

Kerscher Tuning 2007 Audi A3 8P

Audi A3 is a car in which many people have fall in love with thanks to its compact size and elegant lines. No doubt that’s successful also with help of great engines made by VW Group.

Audi A3 was in production since 1996 and it was built on a platform of 4the generation VW Golf. Many engines have been installed in here but the most popular was turbocharged 1.8T engines producing 110kW, but also less powerful but economical turbo diesels.

The 1.8T engine passed some enhancements in 1996 that resulted in 180hp (132kW) of power and even 220hp in Audi S3 model with all-wheel drive. Also the turbo diesel obtained a new PD technology and VGT to achieve 96kw (130hp). The same engine was used in sporting Skoda Fabia RS.

But this is now a part of history. In 2003, the second generation was introduced in Autosalon Geneva, now with more aggressive shapes attracting younger people.

Design of this generation was born by hands of perfect designer Walter de'Silva. But not only visual changes happened. Under the hood we can find new powerful engines – 2.0 liter turbocharged TFSi offering 147kW (200hp) and 3.2 liter V6 power-plant with 184kW (250hp).

Quattro system with semi-automatic transmission is optional with all engines above 140hp and it’s only option for the 3.2 V6.

2004 Audi A3 Sportback version was introduced in June 2004. It has same mask as the biggest and most powerful 2004 Audi A8 W12. Next important milestone for the Audi A3 was the year 2006. 2006 Audi A3 obtained a new two-liter turbo diesel producing 125kW (170hp) in April and the 2006 Audi S3’s TFSI achieved more power (final 195kW/265hp) in August because of bigger pressure of turbocharger – 1.2 bars cooperating with a 6-speed transmission and AWD. This bunch of power and Quattro drive can shoot the second generation of Audi S3 to 100kmph in 5.7 seconds and it’s about 25mm lower than ordinary A3.

Also this year is the year of change. A naturally aspirated 2.0 liter FSi engine is replaced by turbocharged 1.8 TFSI engine. The aggregate produces 118kW (160hp) and it’s available only with front-wheel drive. And 2007 Audi A3 can be also proud of its 2.0 TFSI engine as the engine of the year 2007. Kerscher Tuning Audi A3
Because of the Audi A3 with its design and powerful engines attracts especially younger drivers, it’s also a target of many tuners, like today’s German Kerschner. So the little Audi A3 passed some training. Her muscles are now more visible thanks to the front bumper with three big openings for additional cooling. There’s a nice lip under it.

We have to say that we’re really surprised by side sills. We’ve never seen side sills like these ones – made easily with sense for pure, not distorted design. And when we’re talking about our subjective impressions – the designers from Falkenber should use this sense also in case of the rear bumper, so a little bit more retiring.

But it’s our subjective opinion, so maybe you enjoy this bumper. On its sides we can see blind openings imitating off-take spots. Overall, this bodykit looks really good, from the front to the back, it continues in one line and visually decreases whole car made by Kerscher.

Seidl Tuning Mitsubishi Evolution VIII

Mitsubishi car manufacturer and its three diamonds in the badge are known for everyone. This manufacturer produces everything, from small compact city vehicles, through off-roads to special ones as Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Right this car was chosen by the company Seidl Tuning for next improvements. It’s the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution in its 8th generation.

I think there’s no need to introduce this car. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is like an ordinary Mitsubishi Lancer but with WRC style. And that means really aggressive engine, suspension, interior with no comfort but great seating. It’s the car for those who want fast, but safe drive.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 has a 2.0 liter DOHC 16V turbocharged engine. The base offers 280hp. Of course there are FQ special versions with the most powerful FQ400 producing amazing 405hp. This version is similar or better than Lamborghini Murcielago, Audi RS4 or Porsche Carrera 4S.

Seidl Tuning Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8

Seidl Tuning and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 is a very nice partnership. Seidl used to tune especially German cars, but know they’ve decided to beat this sharp Japanese.

Because the engine and suspension are up-to-date, they made only bodykit modifications – front bumper, side sills and rear bumper.

The front bumper comes from original lines and it’s slightly modified. There are vertical bars in side openings and both sides has small lollypops now.

The most distinctive change is in case of new paintwork of central part. Now it’s black and it looks very interesting. They continued in the sills and now we can enjoy extreme ones with sporting image.

The rear bumper was next and it consists of three big openings with exhaust tip in one of them. Overall, this bumper looks nice; it’s simple but has nice details. The way of German tuners.


They didn’t forget about wheels. Original rims were replaced by chromed alloys with low-profile tires. I think this wasn’t good move.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evo’s characteristic rear wing was replaced by slightly retiring with stop light.

And that’s all. The German Seidl tuning proves that they can do also non-German machines. They made the extreme bodykit for the extreme car. It’s not perfect, but looks good and drives perfectly.

Alpine Sinister Six BMW 645i Showcar


Today‘s automotive world is full of surprises, unexpected situations and news. We often hear about many new products or accessories recently developed and born in many variations, markets and styles. The automotive world is living its fast life and more and more frequently we meet cars that look very futuristic. Of course it’s still a master piece of one of many manufacturers and their teams full of professionals. The word car is connected with the word music from the beginning. The music is the car’s essential part in of form of various car stereo and set of speakers with possibility of other gadgets. And when we imagine a combination of two super-powers like the German BMW and Japanese car-audio master Alpine, maybe there’s nothing better. And the combination is a showcar for last year by Alpine that is everything but not normal. Please, welcome the lord of darkness called Alpine BMW 645i Sinister Six.

BMW 645I AND ALPINE ELECTRONICS


The love between the tuning scene and BMW vehicles may has no limits. More and more frequently we can see new models and tuning cars from all over the world. The BMW cars are real symbols of elegance and distinctive lines, so that’s why majority of tuning companies remain this hidden potential intact. But the Sinister Six isn’t conservative.
The dark Sinister Six is based on BMW 6 Convertible car. The BMW 6 Convertible is an elegant, retiring car that is attractive wherever it moves. Its stylish design attractive for everyone hides also another secret – a 4.8 liter V8 engine producing the maximum output of 367hp (270kW) and this power can boost the car to 100kmph in 5.7 seconds.

Alpine, a Japanese professional in car-audio stuff, knows very well why they’ve chose the BMW 6 for its showcar. This company was founded in 1967 and it’s based in Tokyo. They work on audio systems for cars like head-units, speakers, and stereos with DVD and satellite navigation and much more. They do their job perfectly and this is frequently proven by many awards and satisfied customers.

Simply said, the Alpine company belongs to the top in the world. And you know what cars such as Mini Cooper, BMW X5, Honda Civic or Citroen C2 have common? All of these cars were Alpine‘s showcars. And if you didn’t forget, you know that these showcars were quite crazy modified.
And today’s BMW 6 isn’t an exception.

Be honest, how many hybrid cars you’ve seen in your life? Because Alpine USA did something to that BMW 6, that isn’t usual even among ordinary tuning companies. Need for attraction is at the top and this car is its proof.

And this everything is possible thanks to Steve Brown and Gary Bell from Alpine’s Advanced Application R&D team.

It’s not very visible for the first time, but when you look closer at the wheels...and there are other doubts. I can hardly find appropriate words how to call this thing on four wheels, but it’s a car. But it’s undoubtedly something we can’t see every day. Ladies and gentlemen, please meet the showcar Alpine BMW 645i Sinister Six aka Mr. Furious.

Confess, that nobody expected so radical change of the stock car. The complete rebuilt of ordinary BMW 645 to this mad masterpiece consists of exterior and interior changes. It’s a completely reworked stock car. And now you can see the result of many hours spent in a workshop of two guys from the Alpine USA team.
They had accepted the will of their management and built a company showcar to be famous on the stage. So they took an ordinary BMW 645i Convertible (price $82.000) and started to make something unique.

The first step was about the car‘s complete cleaning – removal of body and interior and then continues replacement with easily tractable wood. Especially this material is the number one in many parts of the car, like the interior or trunk. It is used particularly together with Alpine products. But we’ll talk about these later.

But what attracts first? It’s a futuristic design in Aliens style that’s really elaborated. As we said before, all body parts were removed and only skeleton remained. And then the time for really mad bodykit made of glass fiber came. The car is now wider for about 23cm on each side so something big happened. Again it’s very hard to find right words, because there is many details we can find on the car.

The front part has a typical BMW mask, but a little bit stretched and filled with a grey perforated sheet.
Between the mask and original headlamps we can see a pair of fancy openings in the bumper. But more interesting part of the front is a pair of big spurs with integrated cut-outs on the bumper’s sides to cool down the front brakes. I think there’s no more massive BMW?. Because the core is the BMW convertible, the roof was erased and now it’s a convertible forever. Additionally the frame of front windows was lowered so the glass too. Fluent lines continue from the front part through the broader bumpers to elaborated sides of Mr. Furious.

But we can’t talk about some side sills installed. There are only some decent, but visible shapes of this part. Their main characteristic is four very nice shaped openings with blue illuminated Alpine signs. The elements like these are sometimes a perfect glitter to a car’s design. But the most shocking feature of the side is doors. There aren’t. We’ll talk later about this aim. So now there are two pairs of cooling openings for the brakes. Of course, the dark perforated sheet can’t miss.

So, now it’s time for one of two most interesting improvements made on this car. It’s a completely and maximum possible modified rear of Sinister Six. I think you’ve seen Ferrari F50 and its rear part with a decent wing and visible engine space.
So this is exactly used in our case. Similar massive, wide rear parts, big plexi-glass not over the engine, but audio system. So when Alpine produces car-audio components and this BMW is a showcar, we can expect Alpine’s products everywhere.

We need to say that the big glass extends during boarding to enjoy nine brand-new products from Alpine’s portfolio – powerful amplifiers (8x Alpine PDX1.1000 & 1x Alpine PDX4.150) and 9000W of raw power. And this is just the beginning.
There’s much more to show on this car. The designers continued to the rear part of the car. An amazing rear bumper with a pair of integrated exhaust tips on its sides and of course some nice diffuser can’t miss. But the diffuser isn’t something ordinary – it consists of four 12“ bass loud speakers Alpine SWX-1242D turned to the ground for a real big bang.

No time to chill, because skewed tail-lamps aren’t made of LEDs as you can think. They’re LCD monitors that are switched every 30 seconds from their „brake mode“ to playing your favorite music videos. DO you think that 30 videos are enough for you? There’s another Sinister Six writing in the tight mask between the lights.

There are many more similar all over the car. So the huge modification needs also a nice suit. This car wears a very nice black color from guys of House of Kolor. But there’s not only black all over the car, but an airbrush master Noah used his skills to create an alien style airbrush cover.

This superb airbrush shows many aliens and their typical world. It’s a great step to the ultimate showcar.
Some „minor“ changes were made also on the suspension. You think that 22“ rims on the BMW are too much? And what about 24“ rims in front and 26“ at the back? Please, meet Sinister Six.

The exclusive double-part 5-spoke black rims are made by the famous hot-rod producer Boyd Coddington. These heavy rims are also very wide – 10" and 13". These gigantic rims wear Falken tires Falken ZiEX S/TZ. You can imagine that 360 mm Brembo vented brake discs look quite small compared to the rims.

But now we continue to the interior, because not also the exterior has been changed. The interior is completely changed. We can start with a fact, that now the car isn’t a four-seater. It’s a single seater, but this seat isn’t in the middle as we can expect, but it’s more radical as we‘ve never seen before.

The verdict says – a central rotating console. Yes, there’s a rotating console instead of one seat and it’s something like a old-school chopper seat and bodykit full of implemented Alpine’s products. In reality it’s a circle placed on the floor with a place for one passenger or driver respectively.
Many speakers and other Alpine units are installed around the circle. The whole thing looks like some Star Trek base. When you push the button, the unit does 90o left turn allowing boarding and getting out. And the rear trunk cover slides to show the amplifiers.
Quite amazing, isn’t it? Also the console’s design is perfect, a real combination of beauty and usefulness. The turn of the console reveals on the right a pair of amplifiers (1x Alpine PDX1.1000 & 1x Alpine PDX1.150), that can produce more than 10.000 watts of music power together with next 9 units. All of this power is controlled by a complete multimedia brain Alpine VPA-B222R VehicleHub Pro OEM, the newest Alpine’s product.

It’s integrated on the left side and all other elements are connected with it. These elements include five 10“ LCD monitors integrated to the custom dashboard, DVD players with iPod Alpine DVA-5210 connector, multi-channel audio system controlled by Alpine PXA-H701 Dolby Pro Logic processor. And the most important thing – the most quality sound is provided by a pair of Alpine SPX-107R speakers and four central speakers Alpine SPX-17MB placed in front and the back of the rotating console + one piece in front of the seat.

We need to point out, that the side LCD panels are used as „external mirrors“ providing images supplied by a pair of mini cameras on the car’s sides. Other panels are used as a multimedia machine for DVDs and other visual stuff.



Brabus SV12 S Biturbo – the world’s fastest and strongest coupe!



A few numbers in the beginning: 730 hp, 1320 Nm and 340 kmph. And this everything is in a coupe chassis. Brabus SV12 S Biturbo coupe is based on the Mercedes CL600.

The most important heart of this exclusive car is an engine Brabus SV12S Biturbo built from a turbocharged 12-cylinder engine Mercedes 600 and it’s the most powerful 12-cylinder to be allowed on the streets. A special crankshaft with bigger cylinders and better forged pistons increase the engine’s volume from 5.5 to 6.3 litres. Other modifications of the engine include heads and camshaft.

Of course, some heavy modifications were made on the engine’s peripheries. This involves a special exhaust system, two bigger turbochargers, high-performance intercooler and exhaust with metal catalyzer and low back pressure. Brabus modified the ECU to drill the most possible output and to meet EURO IV emission requirements (limits for exhaust emissions, maximal values can be 1.00 grams of Carbon Monoxide, 0.10 grams of Hydrocarbon, 0.00 grams of HC+NOx, 0.08 grams of Nitrogen Oxide and 0.00 grams of Particulate Matters per 1 kilometer ).
This everything brings beautiful 730 hp (537 kW) at 5100 rpm and 1320 Nm of torque available even at 2100 rpm! But „only“ 1100Nm are available because of installed limiter.

This power of the engine is transferred through the modified 5-speed transmission to the rear axle. A limited slip differential is available too. Every mechanical is protected with ARAL lubricants.

Brabus SV12 S Biturbo coupe isn’t only the most powerful, but also the fastest. 100 km/h acceleration takes only 4 seconds and 200 km/h is done in 11.9 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 340 km/h!

Aerodynamics is an essential part of the car’s success. So then all aerodynamic parts were tested in a wind-tunnel. A sophisticated shape of front bumper provides necessary pressure to the front part and bunch of cool air to the cooler. Front fog lamps integrated to the bumper secure great illumination of the road.
Also the rear bumper was improved. In the bumper we can see cut-outs for double exhaust tips and three LED lights at the back, 5 lights under the side sills to show what’s under the car as seen on TV - Fast and Furious style. The rear bumper was also tested in the tunnel to provide great under-pressure and high-speed stability on the roads.

This power increasing needs also better suspension parts, brakes and quality tires. Brabus offers Brabus Monoblock light-alloy rims (18,19,20 and 21“). Under the fenders you can install the biggest available rims – 9Jx21 in front and 10,5x21 at the back. The biggest available tires are 265/30 ZR21 and 295/30 ZR21 at the back. Brabus recommends Yokohama or Pirelli models.

New suspension parts decrease the car’s height for about 25 mm. Brabus installed its own high-performance brake system. 380x36 mm brake disc with 12 piston brake calipers are on the front axle and 355x28 mm discs with 6 pistons calipers are at the back.

Airborne Mini Coupe Tuning

A small Englishman called Mini Cooper is often a target of many tuners. A designer Joe Iacono and Rick Leos, a famous hot-rodder from Autocraft of Torrance in South California like small, but cute vehicles, so they’ve taken one Mini Cooper to a garage.

So these gentlemen has done one modification named Mini Cooper S Cabrio R53, but now they want to know what amount of power under the hood can this tiny car handle. So they’ve focused to its stuff under the hood.

So the first thing done was modifications of head cylinders on the Mini’s 1.6 four cylinder engine.

Of course, the performance tuning like this need better camshafts, tuned lead-ins and modified exhaust system. Also there’s new turbocharger and heavy duty intercooler. These ingredients boost the engine to some 300hp.

It’s pity that there’s no closer info about its top speed, acceleration and other interesting stuff. This power engine must do miracles in case of the light-weight Mini.

So the R56’s design looks exactly as the previous R53. A sporting bodykit bringing some muscles is a work of Joe Iacon. It’s not very aggressive, but decent with a sense for pure lines.

And if you combine the bodykit with beautiful black rims with red hem and vented brake discs under; the best warrior mix is here to attract all nearby eyes. And the Englishman looks great!

And what about its interior? The whole interior includes black leather upholstery with red stitches all around and it’s a great choice. Everyone who enters the car knows that it’s in the Airborne, because all Mini badges were removed and replaced with Airborne ones.
